This part rarely fits as it comes due to variations in construction over the years. They are normally too tall. We have to fit them to the keg we are replacing them on and you will need to do this as well. We sand them down on a drum sander or use the side of a grinder wheel. Please do not purchase this product and then give it a bad review because you have to fit it. We are selling them as they come and they must be fitted! This is not difficult, but it is necessary.
Plastic Post Insert for Older Racetrack Keg Posts. Most posts do not require these. These are made for Firestone Challenger (not super challenger) and John Wood Ball Lock Kegs with racetrack lid.. In some cases this may not be the exact size, but this is the only one still made. We have always been able to make them work when fixing our kegs. You may have to file it down slightly. These have been very difficult to find, but we seem to have a good source for now. Many of the kegs that used these were made a very long time ago and we would recommend replacing this part and the poppet valve while the parts are still available. Because many of them are still in service with this original part we would expect the replacement to last just as long (20+ Years), but we can't guarantee that.
