Product Description
This is a re-conditioned 5 gallon ball lock, soda keg. They are sometimes called "corny kegs" because of the manufacturer, Cornelius, but they can be made by several manufactures including Firestone, AEB, and others. These kegs have been cleaned and pressure tested using the following process:
- Rinsed out with water on the inside and sprayed on the outside.
- Soaked in a hot "Brew Clean" solution for about an hour with poppet valves depressed to fill dip tubes with cleaning solution. Then re-rinsed.
- The keg is then pressurized and soap tested for leaks, then left for several days and re-tested for pressure before shipping.
- If you keg has a "sweet" smell when you open it this is normal. This smell comes from the residual "Brew Clean" cleaner, NOT from soda. Just rinse the keg and sanitize again before kegging.
These kegs ship under our flat rate shipping (some of our competitors exclude kegs from free or reduced flat rate shipping programs).
These kegs come with their original O-rings AND a new set of O-rings at no additional charge (some competitors charge up to $3.99 for this new set of O-rings) This O-ring set includes Lid O-ring, two post O-rings and two dip-tube O-rings.
Please remember that these are used kegs. They will have dings, dents, stickers on the outside and could have some permanent staining that will not effect your beer. The tops and bottoms may have black material coming off that will leave black marks on your hands or other areas. This is due to sun exposure and is very common in used kegs. If you want a perfect keg we sell new kegs and also currently have some fully remanufactured kegs that are "like" new.
Again - these are used kegs and are returnable but you will pay the shipping to return them.

Good Product
I own 6 of these and they are all great. They won't win any beauty contests, (Dents, dings, scratches, paint marks) but the seals area always great, the interiors a perfect. "Hardware" has all been in good shape as well.

Ball lock keg
This keg came pressurized and in great condition. No dents, only some minor scratches. Will definitely buy from here again.

Good customer service
I haven't gotten a chance to use the keg yet. It looks good for the price. Customer service was very good, they sent me the 2 packs of O-rings right away cuz they not included in the original package. It took only 3 days for my order to arrive. EXCELLENT!!!

Second that on replacement hardware
This is a good value, especially with a kit package special. Do get extra hardware. I had a problematic poppet. It was preventing the seating of the disconnect.

Good price, get replacement hardware
I purchased two of these reconditioned 5 gal corny kegs. Good price and fast service, but I had to get replacement poppets and posts for one of them because it wasn't holding pressure.

Good Value - Is what it is!
Very pleased with the product. Was a little dusty/grimy on the outside, but easily fixed with some cleanup and shines nicely. Inside was clean minus one small of something that rinsed out easily as well. Still was sealed and had a bit of pressure upon arrival.

Great value
Got a couple of these when they were on sale. Hard to beat the price. The seal was great and they were pretty clean on the inside. Had to take of a bunch of stickers and scrub the outside pretty good but that was no big deal. Delivery was quick. Overall I would say these were a great deal and I will probably buy at least one more if not 2 if and when they go on sale again. Thanks keg connection. Cheers!!!
