"Converted" Ball Lock Keg -This keg was converted from a Pin Lock Keg into a Ball Lock Keg, but was also reconditioned!

These kegs have the following features:

  • They are shorter than a normal Ball Lock Keg, this makes them easier to get into some kegerators.
  • Feature a new lid with a pressure relief valve. This lid is normally $18.95 on its own!
  • These kegs have new ball lock posts.
  • These kegs are cleaned using Brew Clean a specially formulated cleaner for kegs and other homebrewing equipment.
  • 22 inches tall (normal ball lock keg is 25" tall) x 9 inches wide

Please note that these kegs are cleaned on the inside and then pressure tested for leaks. When you open the keg you might see a very small amount of liquid on the bottom and detect a slightly sweet odor. This can happen when cleaning solution drips from dip tubes. This is not residual soda, the kegs were soaked about an hour in Brew Clean and thououghly rinsed.

These kegs are in good condition, but they are used. This means they can have dings, dents and other cosmetic damage. They are serviceable and are kegs we would personally put our homebrew or other liquids in! You can return kegs, but we do not pay for return shipping.

    Great deal and perfect size

Posted by ND on 23rd Jan 2014

This is such a terrific idea. My system is ball lock, but I have a temp-controlled mini-fridge and the standard ball-lock kegs are slightly too tall to fit. Using the pin-lock keg (2" shorter) allows it to fit, and I can use my existing ball-lock connections for everything.

My key was a little dinged up from normal use and had slight surface rust on the seal, but it came off after cleaning/scrubbing.

These are perfect for my Kegarator conversion

Posted by Rick Arnold on 22nd Jan 2014

I'm converting my Home Depot Kegarator to a 3 keg home brew kegarator and these things fit perfect. I will defiantly be back to buy more. They come pressurized so that you know they work no questions asked.

Great Kegs - Answer to My Problems

Posted by Matt on 4th Jan 2014

If I had known about these kegs before buying the standard ball lock sized kegs, I would've just bought these. These work great in my keezer, especially on the compressor ledge as they are a couple of inches shorter.

Keg interior was spotless and held pressure perfectly. Keg exterior requires some elbow grease, barkeeper's friend, and very hot water to clean it up. Just be aware that it is a used keg but a little cleaning of the outside will turn it into your own little Cinderella story.

I built my brother's 4 tap keezer using one of the Keg Connection kits. Everything was great.

    Thanks Keg Connection!!
