the metal is OK but badly welded
There are distinct traces of shaft grinder "polishing" (or should I say "scratching") on the inside where the handles are welded. It does not look good but I hope the handles will not break off while I'm moving the pot full of hot wart. The price was good though.

30 quart brewing kettle
The pictures don't do it justice. This is a really good kettle. Good for a variety of uses especially 5 gallon extract-steeping grain brews. With a couple of modifications it could be a great fermenter as well.

Great quality pot, great price, great store. I bought this for lobster and last stage of cooking down maple syrup.

30 qt brewing kettle
Great price for this kettle. I needed a good low-priced kettle for heating water and this one was perfect. I did order it with a ball valve, which provided me a little humor. I put the valve on and set it aside for my first brew day, when I discovered that the fitting to connect to the kettle and the output bib were reversed. In other words, the handle to open the valve moved only a slight distance before striking the side of the pot. A new guy? In a hurry to ship? My guess is the latter. These guys are amazing at how fast they get things out! I ordered on Thursday, and the FedEx truck followed me down my street to my house as I came home from church on Sunday!! By the way, the valve was no problem; I just got out my teflon tape, wrenches, and swapped ends on the fittings and re-installed the valve. Works great!
